Desarrollo y validación de una escala de estrés cotidiano en preescolares

Resumen

El objetivo del presente estudio fue desarrollar la escala estrés cotidiano en preescolares y evaluar sus propiedades psicométricas. Se  llevaron a cabo tres fases: un estudio exploratorio para identificar las principales áreas de estrés cotidiano,  entrevistando a 32 niños de cuatro y cinco años de edad; en la segunda fase se desarrolló la escala de estrés cotidiano y se piloteó en 30 niños de cuatro y cinco años de edad, la validez de contenido se realizó empleando el método por jueces, por medio del cual se obtuvieron índices Kappa satisfactorios. En la tercera fase se analizó la validez de constructo y confiabilidad de la escala con 167 preescolares; se realizó el análisis de frecuencias, análisis de reactivos, análisis factorial de componentes principales y análisis de confiabilidad; resultaron seis factores: estrés en la relación con padres, en  la relación con los hermanos, estrés ambiental, estrésescolar, estrés por fantasías y estrés por castigos, que explicaron el 57.89%   de la varianza y KMO=847. El alfa de Cronbach global fue de .848 con los 19 reactivos que se agruparon en el análisis factorial. Las alfas de Cronbach por factor oscilan entre .56 y .63. La escala resultó válida y confiable, por lo que su uso puede contribuir tanto a la investigación como a la práctica clínica.
