Stone tools analysis of two problematic deposi ts in group 6C-XVI , Tikal

Abstract

In this work I aim to give a general vision of the lithic artefacts contained in the problematic PNT-019 and PNT-031 deposits; the objective is to compare both samples from the quantitative and qualitative points of view. Taking advantage of the high density of the material and the context in wich it appears, a detailed analysis was carried out to determine the existence of some variations in: the resources employed in the manufacture, the technical work and the function. From these aspects we can extract some generalities that allow defining the nature of the findings.
