San Gregorio Magno: Travel Between Memories And Identity. A Socio ¬ Anthropological Study Of A Southern Italian Community

Abstract

Through the use of life histories and biographies and analyzing the journey of memory and sociological processes, a special emphasis is given on how acculturation has taken place and how it has changed. Annual cyclic rituals and festivals were key elements to study daily life, citizens, and the social context of the community. All these aspects allowed us to analyze and explore the alleged continuity of traditions that redefine identities and membership values through time.
