Abstract
Current government policies seek to attain a better quality of life for their citizens, without jeopardizing the natural balance of their surroundings nor the viability and stability of future generations. Given the failure and obsolescence of urban master plans to improve life quality, city governments around the world are exploring new approaches to urban management and administration within the wider concept of sustainable development. This paper analyzes global sustainability strategies and their impact on the industrialized housing market which developed within the National Housing Programs of 2006-2006 and 2007-2012.
