The Modern Campus of the Universidad Autónoma de Campeche: A Taxonomy of Alterations
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article reviews the ideas and proposals of Governor Alberto Trueba Urbina and the architect Joaquín Álvarez Ordoñez in the development of the Campeche Nuevo project in the 1960s, of which the campus of the Universidad Autónoma de Campeche formed an integral part. Its primary focus is the analysis of the architectonic image of subsequent remodeling and expansion efforts that the campus experienced over time, which has the objective of establishing a periodical, sequential taxonomy of these transformations, in order to thus understand and categorize the modifications of the original university design.
