Sobre el origen del falso sufijo dativo -le del español de México
Main Article Content
Abstract
The use in Mexico of the imperative with a false dative suffix -le together with the use of the same suffix in interjections and adverbs, suggests the presence of an incitation derived from nahuatl. This article analyzes nahua excitative interjections and compares them with the composition of the popular expression "Cuele", imperatives and interjections such as "Ejele", "Ujule", "Jíjole", etc., that are very frequently used in popular Mexican speech. The results are offered as a plausible proposition.
