Abstract

This article presents a synthesis of the archeological research conducted in Morelos. lt begins with a theoretical overview in which the site of Xochicalco is shown to have been the "type site" for the application of new orientations and methodologies The second part of the article attempts to describe, as best as possible given the extent of available information. the cultural development in Morelos dating from the Preclassic period to the Post-classic.
