Abstract

The therapeutic offerings form a privileged access to the Nahua ethnometeorological complex in the Sierra de Texcoco as they constitute the mechanism through which the tesiftero or granicero regulates the exchanges between the ahuaques, or the rain spirits of the deified dead, and the human community. In order to fully understand these offerings, that involve mainly aromas and miniatures, they should be analyzed as part of the sequence of the curing ceremonies revolving around the spring and irrigation canal complex in the Sierra area. This essay develops topics related to the acquisition, preparation and placing of the offerings and the elements of social organization involved in them.
