Abstract

In this article I will present the diferent types of Clause Complementation that I find in Chuj of San Mateo Ixtatán. I will take into account the formal characteristics of each of the different types of Complements: argument correferences, extraposition in the Complex Clause and Complement choice based on verb semantic category in the main clause. At the same time, I will ilustrate the degree of integration among clauses and the split ergativity phenomenon in dependent clauses.
