La hora del nacimiento en el mexquital

Abstract

The distribution of births by hour of the day was obtained from the vital statistics of Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo. Based on the 4,863 live births which took place during three years (1969; 1910;1971), a distribution was obtained which is characterized by a sinusoid curve with the maximum values occuring in the first hours of the morning and the minimum in the afternoon hours. There has been an attempt to interrelate the biological phenomenon of the rythm of this schedule to factors which could influence it.
