Concerted solution of territorial conflicts inside the province of Cañar

Abstract

The Mediation Center of Catholic University of Cuenca-  Azogues branch, received permission from the Ecuadorian Judiciary Council to mediate in the process of territorial delimitations of cantons, addressing social, territorial, cultural, lawful, problems through dialogue, understanding and peace; according to the National Plan of Good Living determined in the Ecuadorian Constitution. 

The research work the territorial  delimitation of the cantons of Déleg, Azogue, Biblian, Suscal and Cañar; based  on opinion  surveys, figures, statistic data, it demonstrates the acceptance of the conflict solution model, based on the principles of compromise and settlement, with the objective of development. And benefit toward the development. Thus a new administrative model was adopted, respecting the communities’ identity, heritage, culture and territory, while promoting the national priority of development.
