In defence of the patrimonial lands. The case of the Indians of Tultepec from a map of hispanic-indian tradition

Abstract
At the end of the sixteenth century, several Spaniards made requests for grants to the viceroy for some portion of land. Juan del Castillo made an application for 4 caballerias of land, 3 of them on the slopes of Cerro Tultepec. The objective of this article is to analyze a lawsuit between the Indians of Tultepec and Juan del Castillo resulting from this request, of which there is a map. Likewise, this map will be related to the current landscape, to know the changes and permanence of a landscape rich in natural resources.
