Abstract

Medical topics are frequently encountered in literary work, derived from the deep humanistic context from both disciplines, in the face of the eternal great questions of human existence, such as sickness and death. The Mexican researcher María Leonor González-Arrieta, who holds a Bachelor's degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, reflects interestingly in this paper about the links between medical science and literature, taking as an example the novel Sinuhé, the Egyptian, of the Finnish writer Mika Waltari.
