SANDINO 'S LETTER TO AMERICA'S LEADERS

Abstract

The Nicaraguan hero Augusto Cesar Sandino addresses in this letter, dated August 4th 1928, the presidents of the Latin American countries, who had just celebrated in Havana the Pan-American Conference. He reclaims them the cold indifference of their governments about the struggle in course by the Defending Army of the National Sovereignty of Nicaragua against the forces of occupation of Yankee imperialism. With great vision, the general of the free men calls to "form a Single Front to stop the advance of the conqueror over our fatherland."
