Abstract

Nelson Herrera-Ysla declares in this essay that, under certain criteria, Habana is a Cultural Center. This architect, writer, and Cuban art critic refers to struggles of integration from typology to architecture, and to public space, which emerged in the first half of the past century when at its beginning art nouveau, and then art deco, imposed their imprint on the city.
