Abstract

Alirio Liscano, Venezuelan political scientist and pedagogue, revives in this essay the polemic concerning the meanings of two basic components of educational reality: pedagogy and didactics. Today both are marked by multidisciplinarity and transversality. The author makes a point of the fact that in addition to pedagogy being the science of education, upon this social phenomenon, beyond didactics, other disciplines converge, such as philosophy, sociology, psychology, history, economics, politics, law, and the same social subject in its own circumstance.
