Abstract

"Argentina has a very wide and varied range of aesthetic tendencies which, taken as a group, from my point of view, are characterized by a paradox", according to José Kameniecki, Argentinean psychologist, writer and promoter of culture. Concerning this paradox, which in literature is none other that one from our own language, the author focuses this essay —emphasizing some historical aspects preceding and conditioning current narratives originating in his country— on analyzing the variables underlying literary creation, derived from their own notion of identity.
