FOR A DIAGNOSIS OF MASSIVE COMUNICATION IN LATIN AMERICA

Abstract

Luis Ramiro Beltrán, recognized by the Asociación Latinoamericana de Investigadores de la Comunicación, during their fourth Regional Conference celebrated in La Paz, evaluates in this essay the most important accomplishments of what was called the decade of the 70s, Escuela Latinoamericana de Comunicación, an experience which should be useful in the integration of a new vanguard committed to change, in defense of the democratization of information: a crusade presenting very serious challenges these days.
