Abstract
2009 is a year commemorating the 150th anniversary of Charles Darwin's publication. The origin of species, which confronted the accepted "truths" of his time concerning the origin of man and evolution of species. The Mexican researcher Estela Morales Campos explains in this article how the theories of the English scientist affected the sciences of life, redefined the biological sciences and impacted the human sciences: philosophy, anthropology, history, sociology and even politics.
