Abstract

The Cuban professor Miriam Iglesias Leon and the Mexican professors Manuel Cortés Cortés and Santa Herrera Sánchez of the National University del Carmen, examine in this essay the topic of students' education from the perspective of applied mathematics. "Mathematical Models —as they explain— prepare future professionals to face the problems presented in their daily lives, mainly in the job area". As they later affirm: "a teaching and educational process has of necessity to associate content with life".
