Abstract

Lidia Fagale, Argentinean journalist and Union leader, asks herself the following question: "Is it possible to confront a unipolar world, hegemonic in the economic sense, in the military sense, which finds the complex framework of the so-called cultural industries one of its principal driving forces?" This essay is a worthy contribution to the everyday battle for the reappropiation of our words, our images and sounds, out thoughts, extracted from the same everyday life and given a new meaning by those who today mainly control the world's communication in theory and practice.
