Development is not as promising as believed
Main Article Content
Abstract
This text, the work of the Bolivian researcher H. C. F. Mansilla, proposes to investigate the surge of disenchantment with the practical results of numerous attempts at modernization in almost all of the Third World. The causes of this massive disillusionment are many, but as a sweeping generalization the author suggests the conclusion that the fruits of the sacred contemporary trilogy (development, growth, progress) have not met the always increasing, lofty expectations of the populations involved.
