A new education for a new society.

Abstract

Rafael Cuevas Molina achieves in this article a diagnosis of Latin America´s problems and the processes of change which have been generated in the region during recent years. Their catalytic effect has been the implementation of neoliberal policies with disastrous results for the development of their peoples and the welfare of their inhabitants. Education plays a fundamental role in social, political and economic transformation, being achieved in the countries associated with ALBA, particularly as represented in the writing of this outstanding Guatemalan intellectual.
