Haití: Reflections in times of crisis
Main Article Content
Abstract
Since January 12, 2010, when Port au Prince and its surroundings were shaken by a violent earthquake that destroyed hundreds of thousands of lives and buildings, the Haitian people have had to face a new calamity, added to the hurricanes, cholera and political corruption: the return of Jean-Claude Duvalier. The Haitian Suzy Castor declares in this article that we cannot ignore the infernal machine of the Duvalier dictatorship, finally ousted through popular resistance in 1986, partly through receiving the support of foreign countries, mainly The United States.
