The battle of Girón

Abstract

Salvador E. Morales Pérez explains to us in this article the significance and transcendental importance of the Playa Girón combat fought in mid- April 1961, when a small army of Cuban exiles trained and armed by the CIA invaded Cuba aiming to thwart the revolution underway, effort heroically thwarted by the Cuban people. According to the historian Cuban, this military event deserves a very prominent place in the history of Our America because it was facing the small island with the might of American Imperialism.
