A cultural proposal for the study of ancient maps

Abstract
Through the map, it is not only possible to visualize the extension of a territory and meet certain traits or geographical features of a particular site, also the geometric properties of the objects and their spatial relations can be calculated accurately. Raquel Urroz, Mexican historian, analyzes in this article “The Ancient Map” and argues that the new challenge today for the history of cartography is to approach it from different sides, with multiple techniques and directions regarding the human meanings that originated them.
