Were monthly sampling of December 2003 to November 2004, and using a bait well net collected 1269 fish of which the 62.8 % were females and the 37.2 % males, the sex ratio was 1.7:1 (p<0.05) in favor of females. First size reproduction for females was 30 mm standard length. A period of spawning March to September was recorded, which corresponded to the values higher in the gonadosomatic index. For the model of fecundity were only considered the fertilized eggs and embryos, which were adjusted to the model F = 0.2141L3.5014 (p< 0.05). This study contributes to knowledge about the yellow fish reproduction patterns whose purpose is the propose conservation alternatives that, due to the use given to water in these systems, this species may be threatened in the near future.
