Modern Museum versus Contemporary Museum The Crisis of Typologies to a Paradigm Shift
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this article I expose a reflection on how the loss of values has resulted the dissolution of the Museum´s typology, generating a “Contemporary Museum” which, compared to the Modern Museum, is a global museum that does not have a specific place, it is an uprooting museum, untied even of his function.
The conceptual origin of this Contemporary Museum based on a “social”, participatory and regenerating idea of the institution has degenerated, mostly, into a surface simplification summarized in “Logotype Museums”, as architectural survival answer according to a new social paradigm.
