Abstract
The observations made by Philosopher Henri David Thoreau on the concept of time and his considerations on the experience of occupying and inhabiting a space are presented in this essay as a theoretical framework to define the methodology used in "Paths," the Europan 12 winning project for a new neighborhood in the municipality of Hammarö in southern Sweden.
