Invisible Solar Radiation and Architecture

Abstract
In this paper, the solar radiation that reaches Earth is described and, in particular, it focuses on the ultraviolet and infrared spectrum that are imperceptible to the eye. The significance of these radiations and their interaction with matter are simply explained so that architects have the tools to design energy efficient building envelopes that are appropriate for their program.
