Abstract

A CONTROVERSY OF LARGE DATA ON ACADEMIA MEDIA IS RELATED TO THE NATURE OF MUSICAL SKILLS. IS IT ABOUT INNATE GIFTS OR IS IT A RESULTS OF INTENSIVE PRACTICE ON A FAVORABLE ENVIRONMENT? THIS WORK REFERS TO THIS DEBATE AND SHOWS EXAMINATIONS DONE BY THE AUTHOR AND CONTRIBUTORS TAKING AS A BASIS THE WORKS DONE BY HALLAM AND MCPHERSON. IT SHOWS THE RESULTS GOTTEN ON DESCRIPTIVE, EXPLORATIVE WORKS, AND ALSO SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT MUSICAL TRAINING ON INSTITUTIONS OF PROFESSIONAL MUSICAL TRAINING. QUESTIONNAIRES DONE TO MUSICIANS AND NON-MUSICIANS THAT TEND TO IDENTIFY AND TO STRUCTURE IN A HIERARCHICAL WAY THE FIVE MOST IMPORTANT SKILLS THAT A MUSICIAN HAS GOT REVEAL THAT THE ANSWERS CHANGE ACCORDING TO THE KIND OF MUSICAL EXPERIENCE THAT INTERVIEWEES HAVE GOT; THIS CONFIRMS THAT MUSIC SKILLS SHOULD BE TAUGHT AS A SOCIAL CONSTRUCTION THAT HAS GOT DIFFERENT MEANINGS ACCORDING TO THE CULTURAL GROUP THAT PERSONS BELONG TO.
