Abstract

From their origins, the physical anthropology had a strong ideological load and politics when explaining the human diversity in a way jerarquizador. Gould’s work, “man’s false measure”, has been the clearest demonstration of how a formally scientific speech can possess a tendentious content. In Mexico, Juan Comas’s antiracist work is an exemplary reference we should work from the physical anthropology in the diffusion of knowledge that invalidate those of how “the man’s old and new false measures” (to use the professor Leonardo Manrique’s expression). In this text a revision of the implications of the anthropological investigations is made mainly in the debate of nature and quality of human being, built populations because of the perception of the phenomenon of the miscegenation. Finally a reflection is made on if it is possible to reconcile a vision of the human diversity that exalts the differences and the micro-identities with the concept of unit of the human species.
