Abstract

The objective of this presentation is to share anthropophysic reflections under a perspective related about sexual body problems, sexuality exercise and social roles in people that present medullary injuries. This research was carried out in a sample of 50 adults individuals (39 men and 11 women) with acquired paraplegia in the state of Colima, Mexico, to whom was applied a depth and semi-structure interview about practices and representations toward the body, sexuality and health, before and after the medullary injury, the results point out to biologic problems in relation to motor function, the missing of specific sexual and reproduction answers, as well as psycho-socio-cultural interaction referring to normalization notion, which allow the question of the perception on the body, situations oriented to the restate about the sexuality process in these groups.
