Abstract

One of the principal worries of the public health politics of our country refers to the reproductive health, problem that is intimately related to the use of contraceptives methods. In spite of this problem, the real strategies for birth control in different social groups in which women are involved are not yet well known. We present herewith some of the results of the “Feasibility study of the two days method”, a qualitative investigation supported by the University of Georgetown, through the Mexican Fund for Family Planning, A.C. (MEXFAM). This study was done in Guadalajara city in 2001 through interviews to various groups of women using contraceptive and their experiences using natural and non-natural methods as well as their corporal changes and sensibilities of the fertile period during menstrual cycle.
