Changes in metabolism and the endocrine system that occur during the climaterial transition in females represent a phase of the utmost sensitivity regarding health risk factors. Nutritional imbalances might cause this normal transition to turn pathological. In this sense, the hypothesis of this essay is whether achieving a nutritional balance in fatty acids can help to reduce the risk of disease both somatophysiologically as well as hematically. The objective is to prove this hypothesis by undertaking a sample-study of the Spanish population. The analysis has been made on 80 females from Navalcarnero (Madrid), with tow sub-samples: 1-”Columbus” (1-to-3 balanced eggs/day was included). 2. Control (usual diets were maintained). The study lasted two months. The Columbus group underwent significant differences regarding weight loss (t=2.08, p>0.05), basal insulin, glycosidase hemoglobin (t=3.05, p>0.001), arterial pressure (t=2.97, p>0.05). The health risk profile was diminished in 0.5 points in comparison to the Framingham estimations.Downloads
