Analysis of the conditions of life in prehistoric people of laches from the Sierra Nevada at El Cocuy

This paper integrates information ethnological and archaeological with bio-anthropological research to analyze the living conditions from an osteological sample of the people of Laches, pre-Columbian inhabitants of the Sierra Nevada Cocuy, northern Department of Boyaca, Colombia. The base bibliography was from researchers such as Eliezer Silva Celis, Ann Osborn, Helena Pradilla, Paul F. Perez, among others, who made the most important contributions to the anthropological and archaeological knowledge of the area. The laboratory analysis was performed on the remains excavated by archaeologists Eliezer Silva Celis and Paul F. Perez, from observing the osteological collections of the National Museum of Colombia and the Laboratory of Physical Anthropology, National University of Colombia, Bogotá.
