Health implications for alcohol consumption in a Mexican indigenous society

After briefly describing the ethnographic characteristics of the community of San Sebastian Petatlán, Teziutlán District in the Sierra Norte de Puebla, we analyze the problem of alcohol consumption that has worsened especially following the recent installation of several maquiladoras in the area and the effects that this causes on the individual health, in addition to the implications on family society in general.
