Funerary or not funerary? Context definition from inter-discipline. One coastal site from the gulf: Cerro de la Campana, a case study

At the beginning of this paper, the objetive was: define the archaeological context, conside-ring the funeral concept; although the theorical and methodical discussion between physical anthropology and archaeology had as a result other kind of issues. The question was if we have enough elements for define a funeral context, then we accorded that the target should be describe the context as a theorical-empirical reflection exercise. The excavation of Cerro de La Campana, in the south of Veracruz, recovered two globular pots, inside this pots were laid individuals with burn marks. This paper have the propose to define a particular context, as an example of the contrast the funeral theorical elements with the scope of the excavations.
