Our Section Policies are:

  1. Articles
  • Content: Must be original research, empirical studies, theoretical reviews, or analyses that contribute new knowledge to the field of public administration.
  • Format: Articles should follow the guidelines for authors, including summary and abstract, keywords and keyworks, introduction, methodology, results, discussion and conclusions. They should be well-founded and supported by empirical and/or theoretical evidence.
  • Review Process: They are submitted to a peer review, where specialists in the field evaluate the quality, originality and relevance of the content. The review will be double-blind, where authors and reviewers do not know each other.

  1. Reviews
    Content: These include reviews and evaluations of recent books, articles or studies relevant to the field of public administration. The objective is to provide a critical and constructive evaluation of the works reviewed.
  • Format: Reviews should be concise, clear, and provide a detailed analysis of the content and relevance of the material reviewed. They should include information about the author, the context of the work, and its impact on the field.
  • Review Process: Reviews will not go through a peer review process, but should still meet standards of quality and objectivity.
  1. Dossier
  • Content: The dossier is a collection of articles on a specific topic of particular interest to the academic community in public administration. Topics may be selected and coordinated by an editor or an editorial team.
  • Format: The articles included in a dossier should follow the general guidelines of the journal, but are linked by a common theme. Each article within the dossier should contribute significantly to the overall theme.
  • Review Process: Articles in a dossier will follow a peer review to double-blind mode process to ensure thematic consistency and quality.

  1. Special Supplement
    Content: The special supplement will contain publications derived from the "Pedro G. Zorrilla Martínez" Essay Contest on Public Administration, organized by the Center for Studies in Public Administration every year.
  • Format: The essays in the special supplement must follow the journal's rules and be related to the central theme of the journal.
  • Review Process: Essays in the special supplement will not follow the double-blind peer review process.
