Resumen
Priestly solicitation is the act requires that the confessor in the moment of confession to the confessed to have “awkward and indecent acts” related to sex. The crime of solicitation is judged as such, regardless of whether this was reciprocated or not, since what was punished for not using the confessional activities concerning him. Women in New Spain depended on the father, husband or next of kin, was considered minor and usually their rights trampled, so it was vulnerable to applicants priests, they did not want a public scandal. The law benefited the clergy, because to proceed was to have three complaints also guilty checked when punishments were very mild
