Psicodélicos S. A.: reflexiones sobre la capitalización y el corporativismo de las plantas de poder

Resumo

Este artículo está enfocado en entender cómo el capitalismo psicodélico contemporáneo, a través de la medicalización, regulación y mercantilización de sustancias psicoactivas ancestrales (como hongos psilocibios, peyote, ayahuasca y otras), reproduce dinámicas de biopiratería y bioapropiación, las cuales explotan los territorios, saberes y prácticas de comunidades indígenas. Desde un enfoque crítico basado en la teoría de la colonialidad del poder, se examina cómo la industria psicodélica del norte global, respaldada por marcos biomédicos y legales hegemónicos, extrae estos conocimientos y enteógenos de sus contextos culturales para convertirlos en productos comerciales, reforzando desigualdades sociales, económicas y epistémicas. Asimismo, se analiza el papel de la guerra contra las drogas de Estados Unidos como dispositivo biopolítico, el cual regula y criminaliza estas prácticas, limitando el uso y acceso a formas de conocimiento alternativas.
