Soluciones locales para el problema de abastecimiento del agua
Main Article Content
Abstract
Water shortage is a problem that has become increasingly important and well-known in the last years. On the contrary, its uneven distribution and the problems related to its supply for large scale populations usually go unnoticed, maybe because both topics are complicated and uncomfortable.
In this article, we go through some drawbacks of large systems built for storage and supply of water for human consumption and we confront two kinds of projects: small scale, local projects, driven and supported by citizens and small communities, opposed to large scale systems resulting from governmental action and centralized decisions.
We finally present an interesting university program for a correct use of water: PUMAGUA.
