Abstract

If education is a human right we need to change school paradigm, co-education is an alternative. This model requires the existence of educational scenarios that foster equal opportunities between women and men. Education history has changed with society development: exclusion, segregation, integration and coeducation. The evolution has caused structural crises with disruptive characteristics and new elements of other systems. The National Development Plan in México 2013-2018 declares to include gender perspective to reach equality between women and men. Education in Mexico is in the period of integration to reach co-education is required the participation of families, mass media, and labor market
