Abstract

At present, the concept of “habitat” is widely used, from academic to government institutions. However, the concept is subject to a series of interpretations derived from different fields of knowledge; and the variety of definitions generated have created a conceptual ambiguity. So, this work seeks to comprehend the different focuses that have been used, to define the magnitude of study and the depth of analysis in order to conclude with a theoretical proposal that will enable the comprehension and applicability of human habitat.
