Cause Lawyers and their Practices. Towards a practical application of critical legal theory

Abstract

This article addresses the issue of “cause lawyers” in order to know and understand what the main aspects that characterize their professional practices are, and identify the main obstacles to the development of their interventions. We propose a methodological strategy, framed in the qualitative approach, that combines the empirical and the theoretical analysis, in order to transcend the mere description of the activities of these actors and to provide an explanation of their professional practices.
