Abstract

Family remittances constitute one of the benefits of the international migration for homes. In Loja's province, in 2008 197.8 million dollars were perceived. They are mainly destined, to consumption, education and health. These benefits of remittances to homes are also economic benefits for the country. The remittances are destined mostly to consumption. This money is also injected to the economy, since some products and services are marked with taxes and this income goes directly to the Government. The present research with a cross an analysis of the amount of remittances of the canton Loja in the year 2009 determines the amount of remittances that are injected through consumption as an income to the Government.
