El empobrecimiento de la política y las dificultades para la construcción del orden democrático

Abstract

This article talks about the effects of political abstention towards democracy in Mexico. The references are the last two electoral processes, where abstention has increased as the result of lack of credibility and trust. These difficulties have implications over the electoral processes, and the building of democracy. Concepts like politics, democracy and political culture, are used to analyze the electoral results in 2000 and 2003, wether federal or local (Sonora).
