New Legislation for mexican democracy. Electoral reform 2007-2008 and the media

Abstract

In any democratic system mass media play a prominent role. Nevertheless, inappropriate mass media regulation can cause democracy to be replaced by video politics. This article analyses the 2007-2008 Mexican electoral reform emphasizing in the political communication model in order to point out the advances and drawbacks present in the consolidation faced by the Mexican democratic regime.
