Abstract

The Consejo Económico-Social de Jalisco (CESJAL) is a civil organization created by the Jalisco state government in 2005. In the present article, the author suggests that this council might be a possible case of governance relationship between the Executive, the Legislative branches of the state and the council itself. Starting with the theoretical debate on governance related with dialogue, attendance and coordination, the author schematically considers the set of recommendations made by CESJAL to local authorities. From those, he selects two case studies: the State Development Plan Jalisco, 2030 and the Jalisco Urban Code for 2008.
