Abstract

Normative reflection about the civic and ethical quality of our democracies, is important to create a political culture, which could stand more in accordance to the principles and values of democracy, and which tends as well, to more solidarian attitudes and practices that protect human rights among persons. From the political thought of Hannah Arendt, a conception of a republican ethics is recovered in order to guide the civic and democratic coexistence in the different settings where we participate. This is relevant for the construction of a civic fabric in human interrelations, against a world characterized by human relationships based on economic and individualistic interests.
